About Our Tents

Custom Wall Tents - All wall tents are custom made to your specifications, with the best materials and finest quality workmanship. Options on most other tents are standard items on our tents, such as stove jack, sod cloth and 3 way zippered doors on both ends. We will be happy to eliminate items or add items to your specifications. Please see below for Materials and Construction.

Tent Materials - All tents are made using only Sunforger boat shrunk, water and mildew resistant army duck, fire resistant to California State Fire marshals code CPA184. Sunforger is the best material for Wall Tents not only for its excellent water repellency and breathability, but also its excellent strength to weight ratio.

I always try to remind people that the easiest way to destroy a tent is to store it away wet !!

Sunforger is available in 10.10 oz. or 13 oz.

Tent Construction - All our tents are lock stitch sewn with a non-wicking polyester thread which has superior strength and stretch. Polyester stands up to the weather far better than thread made of natural fibers. There is no chain stitching in our tents like most wall tents on the market today.

All roof and wall seams are flat feld seamed, although a more labor intensive type of construction it provides superior strength and sealing of seams. The sections are sewn together once then the top section is turned back on itself and top stitched two more times, 3 rows in all.

All corners and ridge ends are reinforced with canvas gussets, any cut edges are always turned under and sewn. There is never any fraying of our corners and ridge gussets. We use the newest stove jack-fiberglass cloth with a fireproof silicone rubber ring, it gives a nice tight fit around the stovepipe.

Zippers are # 10 YKK nylon, freeze resistant, single molded teeth not coil zippers. Our door openings are different then most wall tents, the doors are cut 6” up from the ground using a 3 zipper design, 1- 7’ vertical zipper, 2- horizontal zippers. Length depends on how wide the tent is so the doors open to the fullest.

Most wall tents have the sod cloth sewn to the bottom of the door so when you open the door your sod cloth is pulled out from under your floor. With our design the sod cloth is sewn to the bottom of the tent and stays sealed under the floor even with the doors open. All tents come with a full 10” sod cloth all around.
